Description

After today, we are officially done with Unit 3. Students took the Unit 3 Test today, and overall the scores looked good. The test covered everything from DNA and Punnett Sqaures to viruses and vaccines. It feels great to be done and I think everyone is just about ready for vacation. After Christmas, we will continue on to Unit 4: Evolution. The test, along with an answer key, is included above.

Develop and use a model to describe why asexual reproduction results in offspring with identical genetic information and sexual reproduction results in offspring with genetic variation. Emphasis is on using models such as Punnett squares, diagrams, and simulations to describe the cause and effect relationship of gene transmission from parent(s) to offspring and resulting genetic variation.
