This is the fourth lecture PowerPoint for a yearlong chemistry lecture series. This lecture covers the ions, ionic bonding and naming, covalent bonding and naming, and briefly touches on structure shape. It includes example problems, Quick Check! sections, NGSS standards, and objectives.
Along with the lecture, a student handout of fill in focus notes is included and goes along with the lecture. The focus notes come in two parts since the lecture is 78 slides long. These fill in notes represent each slide, and include a space for students to write an essential question, questions as they go through the lecture, and a summary.
Use the Focus Notes poster/printable (located in the Poster/Printables section of the store) to enrich your students' note-taking experience and incorporate review and critical thinking into the process.
Each document is able to be modified.
