This graphing calculator activity engages the students in building a unit circle and then connecting the points around the unit circle with the graphs of the six trigonometric functions. Many teachers do not know they can create this visual on a TI-84 graphing calculator and then use the trace feature to gather information. This product give easy and clear directions on setting up the graphing calculator for this discovery activity.
After students have created the unit circle and the graph they first trace around the circle and record the x-coordinate and the y-coordinate for the 16 basic points associated with a unit circle.
Then students create the six graphs and match the points on the unit circle with those on the six graphs.

Discovery and collaboration are wonderful tools for this topic. Thank you.
There was a "wow" moment in the classroom as the students connected trig graphs to the unit circle
