Looking for a unit circle activity that will have students identifying the exact trigonometric function values of special angles? This unit circle Math-ku puzzle will help your students build fluency when evaluating the sine, cosine, tangent, cosecant, secant, and cotangent functions of angles on the unit circle (note: angles are given in both degrees and radians).
To complete the Math-ku puzzle, students must first answer each question on their activity sheet. As they work, learners will match lettered questions to numbered answers. Students will use their letter/number pairs to fill out the Math-ku grid they are given. Once this has been done, students solve the puzzle by filling in the empty squares of the grid with the numbers 1 through 9 so that each number appears in every box, row, and column exactly one time (much like a Sudoku puzzle, but with math problems first).
This resource has a 2-page student activity sheet and a fully worked out answer key. See the preview and thumbnails for a closer look at this activity!
