I created this unit plan for my Grade 10 applied level class. The text is the Official Driver's Handbook (for Ontario, but could probably work for any other province/state with a few adjustments). Since this is the year students write the OSSLT, I cover reading strategies such as using context to find meaning, making inferences, etc. They also learn how to write short answer paragraphs, summaries, and an opinion piece (with research). I have included a detailed daily breakdown along with curriculum expectations, learning goals, and an assessment breakdown. I've also included over 20 handouts and activities for the students. In addtion, there are three powerpoint presentations included about making inferences, effective PSAs, and knowing your street signs (a game). There is also a unit test included.
