Students can use 21st century learning skills and modern technology to calculate unit rates!
8 activity sets with 4 questions per station
Students will need to have a device that can scan QR codes/barcodes. When calculating unit rates students will be able to identify which is the best option in each given situation:
-cheapest cost per ounce, pound, gallon, ticket
-best miles per gallon
-highest rate per hour
As they identify the correct response, they will scan the QR code that corresponds with the proper answer. If they are correct, the QR scanner reads:
"AMAZING WORK! On to the next one!"
If they are incorrect, the responses vary:
"Does this answer make sense? What is the question asking? Check your work and try again."
"Check your work and try again!"
"Check your unit rates again. Does your answer reflect what the question is asking?"
"You're on the right track. Check your work and try again!"
