This is a 32 slide, highly animated, power point presentation on the United States Court System – Landmark Supreme Court Cases – Vocabulary Exercise. Each of the slides are editable so you can modify the slides to the presentation as needed.

The United States has existed just over 230 years. Its government is unique in both its development and in the way it functions as the world’s greatest representative democracy. As the founding fathers wrote new laws, it created a whole new vocabulary to describe these ideas.

This presentation contains 28 vocabulary words for the student to master. The assignment is to review each of the vocabulary words, be able to analyze the significance and outcomes of Landmark Supreme Court cases including, but not limited to, Marbury v. Madison, Plessy v. Ferguson, Brown v. Board of Education, Gideon v. Wainwright, Miranda v. Arizona, In re Gault, Tinker v. Des Moines, Hazelwood v. Kuhlmeier, United States v. Nixon, and Bush v. Gore.
