This set of three posters outlines the Articles of Confederation, Declaration of Independence, and U.S. Constitution.
In my experience teaching Civics, students had a hard time differentiating between these three important documents and getting them in the correct order. Halfway through the year, I was still getting questions like, "Which one has the Bill of Rights?"
The lengthy names and old fashioned language aren't always easy for students to remember. But if students can master these basics, they'll be able to spot the clues that hide in those difficult Civics EOC questions.
These posters outline the when, what, and why of each document. They also include any famous lines, as well as key facts to remember. You could post them in your room, shrink them down and hand a copy to each student, tape them up in the locker room, or be creative and make it into something like a coloring sheet!
