This activity allows students to investigate the causes and effects of each of the Tolerable Acts leading to the American Revolution. On the front of each circle the name of the act is listed, students are asked to research/read the act and write what the act was about and when it passed. They will then glue the very top of the back of the circle and then write the effect of that act underneath each individual circle. Throughout this lesson the teacher can make the connection of what led to the next act. Students are asked to cite evidence from the text as their effect for each act.
When finished students write a summary where they cite information and explain how the intolerable acts helped to lead to the American Revolution.
