This file includes a collection of notes, assignments, and tests set up to be uploaded onto a online learning management system or used in the regular classroom.
The WASHINGTON/ADAMS Module Contains:
WASHINGTON: current events starter activity, notes, acrostic review poem, town crier review activity, evaluation paragraph, parties character man activity which also compares past and present parties, and short answer questions.
ADAMS: Real John Adams reading with response questions, 3 current event comparison activities which relate to Adams’ Presidency, an acrostic review poem, character man comparison activity with Washington and Adams, Comparison paragraph between Washington and Adams, 2 short answers and a Long Essay
The JEFFERSON/MADISON Module Contains 21 assignments.
A variety of activities is included for a range of learning styles and abilities – group activities, reading assignments, primary sources Q&A’s, cartoons, tables, current event activities, evaluation paragraphs, short answer questions, a mini DBQ, and two tests.
The MONROE Module Contains:
Notes scaffold, evaluation paragraph (modified with fill in the blank paragraph), word cloud, newspaper, vocabulary pictures, significance table, future/past event comparison table (modified with event word bank), Presidents’ primary sources, and 3 short answer questions.
Two tests are also included. Tests may be supplemented with activities to make them more difficult.
Examples and Keys are supplied so that you have everything you need to start teaching.
The ADAMS/JACKSON/VAN BUREN Module Contains16 assignments that cater to different learning styles and abilities. Activities include: Acrostic Poem, Character man, Evaluation Chart and Paragraph, Comparison Chart and Paragraphs between Jeffersonian and Jacksonian Democracy, Comparison Activity between Modern Day and Jacksonian Democrats, A Play Based on these Presidents, Presidents Diamond Poems, and four Short Answer Questions.
Two tests are also included that may be supplemented with the short answer questions to add rigor.
