The following file contains short lessons on US history that are organized more by topic, than by President.
The lessons are designed more for middle school level or struggling students. They are more concept and event based than focued on a particular Presidency, as many AP courses are.
Most lessons contain a bellringer activity, a set of powerpoint notes, a review that can be used as a quiz, and an after activity to check for understanding. The fill in the blank reviews can also be printed and used for students to complete notes as the powerpoint is reviewed and discussed. The quizzes can double also as short tests.
A variety of activities is used including writing acrostic poems, creating cartoons, drawing mini posters and flyers, creating tables, drawing character men, creating word clouds, and just making lists.
The first few lessons contain pictures, but the others do not so as to keep the file from becoming too large.
These lessons could easily be adapted to online learning systems by separating them into modules and the quizzes could easily be copied an pasted into Canvas or Blackboard.
There is actually more than one lesson on the American Revolution. I could not decide which was better for students, so I provided both. Thank you for your interest.
