* A fun, engaging way to teach United States landmarks
* Students describe, infer the purpose, and locate these landmarks
* 32 landmarks are featured
If you have discovered Geo-Guesser you know that it is a fun, entertaining way to infer a location using only what you can see.
United States Geo-Guessing activity shows students a picture of a famous landmark and the students have to describe it, infer its purpose, and then locate it on a map of the United States.
To use: Make 1 copy of the worksheet and the picture for each student. Students write the picture number on the worksheet then describe the picture in the box. Students then infer the purpose and color in the state where that landmark is found. Finally, the students write a name for the landmark. To protect pictures, I copy on card stock and place each pack inside a plastic bag or page protector.
Works well as a whole class activity or small-group activity.
