This lesson will not only provide you with a web quest but also discussion and extension lesson activities. The bulk of this lesson requires students to read information from a primary source found online as a means of building their background knowledge about the topic. Students will show their understanding by answering various open-ended questions related to Environmental Public Awareness.
At the end of this lesson, students are expected to answer the following questions:
● Explain the Modern Environmental Movement focusing primarily from 1969-1980.
● What national regulatory agencies were formed during this time and what was their purpose.
● What is Earth Day and describe its impact?
This is a perfect grab and go lesson for educators! This is substitute friendly, gives teachers time to grade, and challenges students to use their research skills to answer various opened ended questions.
