This activity helps students become more familiar with the location of the states. Word searches are great to help students practice focusing
This is a different take on the traditional word search. Students will use the map of the United States as their word bank. As they find words, they should mark them map to indicate that word has been found. I have my students color each state as they find it. We use 4 or 5 different colors to make it a little more interesting.
