This project is a way for students to learn more about the states (while also getting tissues for your classroom!). If the United States of America is in your curriculum, this is a fun way for students to explore states. Each child will choose a state, follow the directions and create a "float" out of a tissue box. For example, one side of the tissue box should display the state motto, state flower, state fruit, etc. Another side might display the state flag. Display all the floats to create a parade. Invite other grade levels to come see the parade and learn more about the different states in America.
