This powerpoint contains slides which explain the different units of measurement- length, capacity, weight, mass. There are definitions for each four of them and real life examples of things in the world that pertain to each measurement. For example, a object in the real world that weighs about an ounce is a strawberry. This gives the students an idea of how heavy an ounce it so they can use some logic while answering questions on a test. It will also help them compare different units of measurement.
At the end of the powerpoint is a conversion chart of all the conversions students are responsible for based on the new common core.
