So many of the handwriting worksheets we come across are done on lined paper, which is often inappropriate for younger students (Pre-school through P-K). These worksheets allow younger students to trace the letter in uppercase and lowercase and then provide unlined space for them to practice writing it on their own. At the bottom of each worksheet, students use the letter to complete several words which helps to reinforce the letter sounds associated with each letter. These words are accompanied by simple pictures to help provide contextual clues as students begin learning how to read words on their own! I have used these worksheets in my classroom and have had great success!
