Students will create a "larger than life" animal eye drawing inspired by artist Georgia O'Keeffe. Students will learn about the life and artwork of the artist, and how O'Keeffe created a new way to paint objects by looking at them up close. A lot of lessons regarding O'Keeffe always highlight her flower paintings. This is a great alternative if you want to include O'Keeffe in your curriculum but try something new. Elements and principals of art are addressed in the lesson along with proper techniques used when working with Cray-pas.
