This is an additional download that supports the video.
Have you ever thought about how many ways we keep track of time? We use alarm clocks, watches and cell phones just to name a few. Hundreds of years ago, these modern conveniences were not available. However, people were still able to find ways to keep track of time, which helped them to create schedules for daily and seasonal routines. This project provides students with the opportunity to explore one of the oldest methods of telling time - the sundial - in a fun, hands-on and meaningful way.

In addition to the video, the lesson also includes downloadable lesson plans, extended learning opportunities, and design/reflection sheet.
