This product is meant to be used as a quick five to ten minute activity students can do when they come in each morning. There are 180 days worth of morning work in this packet for the whole year. There are 275 pages in this document. On each day, students are asked to identify the moon phase for the day, as well as complete multiplication and cursive practice.
In order to identify the moon phase, please consider how you will have students perform this part of the packet. In my personal classroom, I have a "Super Moon in my Room," which automatically syncs to the moon phase for the day. This is hanging next to a chart of the moon phases and names, and students must then shade and identify the name of the phase.
Multiplication practice is repetitive in order to encourage automaticity of facts. Every 12 days, the practice restarts. Day 1= 1's facts, Day 2= 2's facts, etc, up through 12's. Then it restarts at 1. It completes this cycle throughout the whole year.
Cursive practice begins with upper and lower case letters. Then, each letter is given three days practice. The first two days for each letter are words that are associated with upper grade vocabulary (axis, judicial, obtuse, etc) or states, presidents, countries, and cities. The third day is a sentence defining or describing one of the vocabulary words that they must then copy. *EXCEPTION: Letters like x, y, z, etc are difficult to produce many vocabulary words for. These may include extra words that are not very academic. Once students have completed all letters through Z, they will then have inspirational quotes they must copy. One extra page of writing lines is given for the quotes so the students can copy it more than once.
