Reading Comprehension and Science Integration: Inside you will find 5 comprehension passages about the planet Uranus, 14 solar system vocabulary cards, 1 fact sheet about the planets, and answer keys!

These passages are focused on the planet Uranus. The passages are short, easy to follow, and read. They are great to use for extra practice or a comprehension check after a main idea and details lesson or a compare and contrast lesson. They were not created to teach a completely new skill - but to supplement your students prior knowledge of the targeted areas.

Uranus Reading Passages:

These 5 passages range from one paragraph and 2 questions, up to 4 paragraphs and 3 questions. Main idea and details questions and compare and contrast questions are the focus of this packet. The compare and contrast pages are differentiated by the types of questions; one set uses “similar and different” terminology, while the other set of questions asks for students to “compare and contrast.”

These are great for small groups practice, fluency practice, whole group discussions, early finishers, or homework. There are many different ways that you can use each passage in your classroom! Check the preview to see more of what is inside and IF this will work for your students!
