Use Place Value to Read, Write, and Describe Whole Numbers

Some activities that are included in this math practice.
?Zero Out- Group members enter a whole number in the calculator. The goal is to erase all the digits on the calculator to get zero; with the teacher giving directions to students to remove digits from stated places of the number one at a time, until the calculator shows zero.
?Each group is given a set of number cards to arrange in least to greatest order.
?The teacher displays a form of a number, a number’s name, or expanded number, giving students time to write the standard number for the displayed number.
The activities can be used to Assess concepts, Introduce concepts, Review concepts, and to help students Retain the concepts that have been taught. Our Math Activities can be used in a variety of ways to “AIRR” out your math curriculum.
Section One contains a numbered list of activities. Each activity is explained using a step-by-step process identifying the group size and materials needed to complete the task. Some of the activities have matching activity cards and practice sheets which are found in Section Two, Activity Sheets. The top right side of each set of activity cards, and practice sheet corresponds with the matching activity number. An answer key is conveniently provided in Section Three.
