Looking for a way to spice up your October reading and writing task cards? Wanting to help your students build a strong working vocabulary? This Halloween picture driven game will provide your students with the higher-level thinking practice they need to develop a strong vocabulary necessary for successful reading and writing. Students will produce descriptive words to describe the Halloween picture. Then they will practice writing these descriptions into fully descriptive paragraphs about all things Halloween.

There are many other teaching options for this game such as visualizing, reading fluency, and use of a thesaurus.
