In this activity, students will create their own art to explore the Italian Renaissance. Working in groups, students will create posters to represent key vocabulary about the Renaissance. Their art will be displayed around the room like a gallery, and groups will visit each poster to determine which word the poster is trying to show. I find that by making this into a game for the most correct matches, students get into informed debates with each other using the vocabulary in their discussions. It is also an appropriate introduction for a time period that is renown for its artistic achievements.
