Over the 25+ years that I spent teaching grades kindergarten - 6th, I always found it extremely useful to utilize centers in my classrooms. They allowed the students to learn responsibility, how to follow directions, to respect their classmates and supplies, how to work together as a team, and become problem solvers.
I have compiled a short packet with some tips and ideas that worked well with my students and helped with behavior management during center time.
