Description

This is a manual for Science teachers who are interested in using Common Core writing and learning strategies in their Science classroom. The Common Core Standards are all about reading and writing (and listening and speaking too, of course) across the content areas. The strategies presented in this booklet will help increase student mastery of content by developing critical thinking skills. The strategies within also promote retention of information so that students can perform better on their standardized tests at the end of the year.

This is not a book of worksheets, but rather a tool for the teacher to expand their own repertoire by using research based methods.

I have used this strategies in Language Arts and Science classrooms over the past several years in my job as an instructional coach with very good results. Your students will appreciate them!
