This kit helps develop a student's sight vocabulary, while the child explores compound words.
Some compound word activities simply have students join two little words to make a compound word, or find the little words in a longer word.
In this resource, however, children have to not only do that, but also figure out where to put the compound words in sentences or groups of sentences. In other words, students have to think harder
to complete these worksheets!
Building a supply of words one can read at sight allows for fluent reading, as it minimizes the need to decode every word.
