Help your students use context clues, and determine literal from nonliteral language (figurative language) with this fun digital resource. It includes 36 Boom Cards in full color. Each card has an engaging cartoon to help keep your students' attention on the task at hand. Boom Cards play on most modern browsers, Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires.

Each Boom Card asks two questions. The first question concerns context clues and word meaning, the second question asks students to determine if the text is nonliteral or not. Students click on the answers to both questions, then click on "submit" to find out if their answers are correct. Any correct answer turns to green, an incorrect answer turns red.
