Some children have a hard time sitting still in order to listen and need to use fidgets to keep themselves busy. However, fidgets can get out of hand if there are not rules for them. This story addresses the rules of fidgets and that if they are not used properly, they are called distractions and that distractions are taken away. I always review this with my class at the start of the year and practice using the fidgets appropriately. These rules also help when children bring toys to school because without fail, they become distractions and they all ready know what happens to distractions.
This is a full page story that you can bind together to read and review with the children.
