My algebra students can benefit from working with the equations for volume and surface area of prisms, cylinders, cones, and pyramids. The purpose of this worksheet is to have them substitute given information into the formulas (which are given), and then solve for the unknown quantities. This is a challenging activity for them.
I usually put them in cooperative groups of 4, and I circulate while they are working on this assignment, to get them "unstuck" on algebra mistakes.
