These two worksheets provide practice in the area of using two operations within a word problem.
The first page focuses on using two operations that are the same (addition and addition, or subtraction and subtraction) and the second page focuses on using two operations that are opposite (addition and subtraction mixed).
What makes these worksheets unique is that a miniature hundreds chart is provided for each word problem. I found that my students needed this to help them visualize jumping forward or backward when adding/subtracting. I asked students to show their work on the hundreds chart (perhaps by showing their jumps or scratching out numbers they subtracted).
Overall this is a great way to teach multiple operations for visual learners!
