Description
Many students don't know why they have to use much with some nouns but many with other nouns. The reasons depend on the noun being modified and the materials in this resource clearly explain the basic differences between 2 types of nouns, count and non-count nouns.
How to use this resource remotely:
a) Tell students to use the Google Drive version.
b) Send photocopies of the printable student pages home. Tell students to send their work back to you when when they have completed them.
This resource includes a chart that clearly explains when to use each modifier. You can display it on a bulletin board or an interactive whiteboard, or make copies for your students to keep in their writing journals.
Practice sentences and a short writing task to demonstrate understanding of this grammar structure are also included to help your students learn how to use much and many correctly. An answer key for the sentences is provided for your convenience.
This resource will help students -- especially but not only English Language Learners -- improve their grammar skills in writing and speaking.
