A student workbook that allows children to discover ways to use their body to count. It includes three different sections that can be taught over 3 days, and is a hands-on workbook that each student can complete independently, with a partner, or in a class.
-Counting (using your fingers to count)
-Measuring (using different parts of your body to measure different distances e.g. fingers to measure inches, arms to measure yards)
-Describing (describing your body using numbers e.g. how tall you are, diameter of head, how many teeth you have
This booklet aligns with the Kindergarten-level Everyday Mathematics Curriculum - Project 2 (Mathematics and Our Bodies)
Print out one booklet per student on single-sided paper. Cut off the margin on the right side of the booklet, leaving only the tabs. Cut each page in half and staple the book together!
