This webquest is designed to help students explore the internet in search of information based on DETERMINING TIPS AND SALES TAX.
This webuest involves 1 recommended website for the students to use to help them find the information laid out on the worksheet. Depending on your class you may set up the websites ahead of time, or have them type in the websites themselves.
The worksheet is aligned perfectly with the interactive events of the website. Their task is to travel through a mall. There are 4 options, a Bank, Gym, Toy Store and the Food Court. At each stop they must figure out various taxes or discounts related to the events placed upon them.
The website is wonderful because it allows students to move at their own pace. If they get stuck, it helps them along.
