Using Photos as Writing Prompts
This activity has always been a winner with my writing students. The photos spur their imagination, and they can’t wait to begin writing. You will love the level of creativity involved!
There are 30 colorful photos, which means you could possibly use them for 30 different writing sessions. Just mix them up each time you decide to use them. The students don’t mind at all.
I made color copies of the photos on card stock and laminated them. Then I cut them apart. I store them in a large envelope. In fact, my set has lasted me for several years, and I plan to use them again and again.
If you ever need a filler activity for one reason or another…this is perfect. Use your imagination! I've also used this activity as part of my “sub plans” on days I’ve had to be out. The subs have always been appreciative. All that’s needed is a pencil, a sheet of paper, and one of the photos.
Please check out my TPT store, Arrrsome in Fifth, for more writing resources. Thank you!
