PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This lesson includes a lesson plan, student handout with poems and a writing activity, and questions to answer while reading. It uses "If We Must Die" and "Invictus" to look deeper at the character of Montag in Fahrenheit 451. This lesson should be done after reading the first two parts of the book. It is a great lesson that can be easily left for a substitute. The writing portion has students thinking deeply about a poem and a character. The parallels that students make with this activity are amazing.

My lessons are always student tested. This lesson builds confidence by allowing students to prove what they have learned about a character.

*This lesson is included in my Complete Lesson Plan pack for Fahrenheit 451.
