This short, Mad Lib-esque paragraph gives a wacky story about a student moving to a new school, located _______ the ocean! Students use prepositions to fill in the blanks. Objective: Create a coherent story with only prepositions (but have as much fun along the way as you want!). As long as students choose a reasonable preposition for each blank, they chose correctly!
The paragraph is put on each page twice for easy copying. I find that this sort of assignment helps students grasp the purpose of prepositions in explaining both when and where the sentence takes place. Have fun!
