We create interactive science notebooks every year and they are definitely a work in progress! This is always one of the early entries in our science notebook every year! First, choose an item for students to describe, I have used plastic animals, slime, squishy balls, etc. (all from the dollar store). Students cut out the matchbook fold cut-outs and write descriptions for each of the properties of the object on the inside of the matchbook fold. We then glue each of the matchbooks folds into our science journals with a picture of the object in the center. We use a double-page spread for this one.
Our science notebooks are composition books, so I reduce each page to 80% when I copy them.
I will be posting more of these interactive science notebook packs as I make them, topic by topic. You will be able to purchase the ones that are appropriate to your students and your curriculum!
