This packet has been designed to help students analyze writing by looking for quotations in the piece to identify plot elements and literary devices. By looking for very specific information, students will pay stricter attention to the work and look beneath the surface of the writing to examine the craft itself.
These pages are not lesson plans, but are intended for use with students who understand basic literary devices and/or to assist you in teaching these. Most can be used with any short story or novel. A few, like the author's biography page, may require a small amount of outside research.
These pages could be used for homework, study guides, classwork, or as assessments.
Please ask any and all questions before purchasing. I answer as promptly as possible.
