Using & Representing Numbers 11-19: A Set of 2 Common Core Math Centers

These centers correspond to the following CC Math Standard:

NBT1 We can count to 120, starting at any number less that 120 and read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.

The first center involves representing the numbers 11-19 by tens and ones. Simply cut apart and laminate the matching cards and put them in a container. Students must match the cards correctly and then complete the corresponding recording sheet.

The second center involves finding 2 more and 2 less than the numbers 11-19. Print and laminate the 2 Less, 2 More Chart. Cut apart and laminate the number cards and number lines. Students must use the number line to assist in matching the numbers correctly onto the chart to show 2 less and 2 more than the given numbers from 11-19. Then students will use the recording sheet to record their findings.
