Here is a another quick worksheet I created to test student knowledge on text features. The passage is about an amazing fruit known to all of us: apples! The worksheet asks students to label what text features can used by this article.
In my school, it was used as a practice for a non-fiction common core unit. It can also be used as an embedded task. There is a word bank. Features used in this worksheet are subheading, illustration, caption, keyword, diagram and label.
All pictures on this worksheet were sourced from public domains like clkr.com.
Common Core Standard (Grade 2)
