Description

An animated PowerPoint presentation demonstrating the use of a metric ruler, along with two practice worksheets, and printable 'calibrated' metric rulers. Slides show: the relationship between millimeters and centimeters; a guage of the relative sizes, comparing the size of a millimeter with the hole in a button, and the size of a centimeter with the width of a little finger; a visual demonstration of lining up the end of the object being measured with the '0' on the ruler; and the use of decimals when writing the measurement. Note - It is also part of my bundled packages of lesson plans. Created by Judy Zapinsky
