PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This worksheet introduces the alternate expression (letting h go to 0) for the slope of the tangent line to a function. The student is asked to find the equation of the tangent line at a given point. Then, the student is asked to compute the slope two different ways: once using the "x goes to a" formula and once using the "h goes to 0" formula. Finally, the student is asked to compute the slope of the tangent line to a function in terms of a and then to use that expression to find the equation of the tangent line at two different points.

This is appropriate for AP Calculus AB and BC.
