Product Description
This activity will engage your students in learning about habitats, how Native American's influenced Utah, and how Native Americans lived from day to day with their surrounding resources. Students will first learn about each tribe in Utah (habitat and region of Utah, diet, clothing and influences).

Next students will use the information they learned about each tribes habitat and decide how the Native Americans built their home. *Dwellings are described in each text with what materials they used, but not what the dwelling looked like.

Students will then use the STEM process to build what they think the dwelling looks like.

Last, students will present their dwellings to the class and explain why they feel that a dwelling would look the way it did and then look at pictures of how Native American's did build their homes.
