This Ute Native American unit contains two lessons. Both lessons contain a slideshow presentation, study guide, and review questions. The unit was designed to teach about Colorado state history; however, can be used to teach about Ute Native Americans in general. The first lesson is a general overview of the Ute culture around the 1300s, when they arrive in Colorado. The first lesson's topics include; arrival in Colorado, finding food, and interactions with the Spanish. The second lesson discusses the Utes clothing, shelter, and changes to the Ute culture over time.
