VALENTINE LEARNING GAME…
This fun movement game helps children learn some of the basic colors, the alphabet and numbers 1-10.
Laminate each sheet and cut on the lines. The larger cards are what you will set out for the kids to stand on.
The smaller cards will be what you will draw from to see who is out each turn.
It is based on a similar idea of musical chairs. Set all the large cards out around the room (can be in a circle, can be
on chairs, can be scattered about, however you like). Then play music and have the kids walk around the room.
When the music stops they must stand on a card. It is up to you if you are going to only allow 1 child per card.
After everyone has found a card to stand on, draw one of the smaller cards. Whatever is on that card, the
child standing on that card is now out. As they are out have them then become a helper to figure out where
the colors, numbers and letters are when the next child gets out and so on (so those that are out and sitting
are still participating by trying to find the match to what is on the card that the teacher draws)
