Product Description
This mini unit is perfect to use with your Valentine's Day celebration or simply to combine your Social Studies and Writing block. It is designed to follow a 2-3 day plan, depending on how much time you spend each day in your writing block. I love to combine my Social Studies standards with my Writing. The children love reading informational text and learning about life around them. Adding a writing component to these lessons is a great way to develop their writing skills, while also assessing their social studies knowledge!

Included in this set:

1. Detailed 2-3 day lesson plan
2. Informational Text on the subject "Why Do We Celebrate Valentine's Day?"
3. Pre Assessment
4. Valentine's Day Web
5. Informational Writing Templates (Differentiated for Below Level, On Level and Above Level) with RUBRICS
6. Valentine's Day Sort - 2 levels to meet the needs of all your students
7. Valentine's Day "Fill in the Blank" Assessment
