There are 22 pink picture cards representing 2 syllable words. The first syllable of each word is an open syllable. Students make the word on the picture card by matching the match the blue (beginning syllable) card, and the orange (ending syllable) card. It is a good way to help transition children from reading CVC words to multi-syllable words. It is also a good supplement when teaching them the reading/ decoding strategy of chunking words. I created this activity for my kids after an Orton-Gillingham professional development. It seems to work well for them. I hope you all like it.
