Easy way to have student practice reading VCe words with a partner and have fun at the same time!
Directions for Go Fish: Print pages on card stock, laminate and cut. Play with two to three players. Give each player 5 cards to start and place the rest of the cards face down in the center. Players take turns asking each other if they have a word. If the player has the word they must give it up to the asking player. If not, they say, “Go Fish!” and the asking player must draw a card from the deck. Play continues until all cards have been matched up. If a player runs out of cards they draw three new cards from the deck. The player with the most pairs at the end wins!
Includes Two Decks of Cards:
-Beginner Deck with CVCe words only (ie. late, home, hike)
-Challenge Deck with consonant blends and digraphs (ie. grime, slide, shame)
