¡Pregúntame! - Verb Conjugation Charts of High Frequency Verbs en el Presente y el Pretérito
Just PRINT and go! These simple verb charts are a tool for SPANISH I and II students that appreciate the verb conjugation mechanics at a glance! They are meant to be a resource for students as they make statements, answer questions, or read and create stories with targeted grammar. It also serves to guide them in communicating their "noticias," telling the class about their weekly events. Tuesday through Friday they use the presente or ir + a + infinitive, and on Mondays they use the préterito to talk about their weekend. (Sometimes they are asked to use the third person to "report" about their partner.)
Verb Charts: - I am not necessarily an advocate of conjugation charts as I prefer to reference verbs on my verb wall, use picture cues, or act them out! However, in my experience, some students truly benefit and appreciate having a chart to use as "training wheels" until they are more confident in communicating with the correct verb and form in Spanish. The charts do not include vosotros!
The present tense verb chart encompasses 29 verb conjugations and meanings of common verbs including the "Super 16!" on one page. The second page is the preterite verb chart that includes 26 verb conjugations and meanings of both regular and irregular verb patterns.
I will print these out back-to-back for students in a BRIGHT, obnoxious color so that they may reference them all year, while in the classroom or at home.
Students will often refer to the verb charts in creating their OWN original questions, statements, and stories using the targeted verbs.
